My most colourful drawing....

I have been working on some drawings, and this one is the largest, and most colourful. It has a lot of inks as well as paints, and it is 70x100cm. iIt is called 'Autumn Walk Through Trees'.

Spring feeling

The sun is shining in Kent, and finally I think winter may be receding slowly.....hooray!!!!
This painting is called 'Spring Feeling' it is 91x61cm

Winter Sea

I am entering a drawing competition with KO-AX, which is connected to the Mascalls Gallery in Paddock Wood Kent. This is a state funded gallery which has wonderful exhibitions. I have recently seen work by several 20th century giants including Marc Chagall and Christopher Wood. We are pretty lucky to have this lovely gallery so handy! They have invited Kent based artists to enter - so here I am! Here is one of the pieces I have just finished or it.

Winter Sea.

Painting on linen

i have done a few paintings on linen. This one is 60x90cm

Winter Rich

Coastal 2, work in progress

This is 60x90cm, acrylic on linen. I don't often work with a portrait canvas, so this is rather interesting for me, I have been looking at lots of photography to try and broaden my compostional horizons, also to distill my palette, and limit the colours i allow myself (that is quite a challenge for me!)

Small painting with big ideas

May
30x30cm
Acrylic on canvas

I shall defintely use this small 30x30cm painting as a sketch for a larger work. The colours, tempo and spontaneity are all things that I want to pursue. It is the result of many layers of paint.

Warm breeze, cool shade

Warm breeze, cool shade...that's the thought behind this 60x60cm work in progress anyway. The actual weather is a far cry here in chilly and snowy (!) Kent.
