Flower power

I just love this photo by Amy Merrick. It reminds me of the Cottage Garden at Sissinghurst Castle Gardens. I live close by and visit often. It is a magical setting with a suitably eccentric, quirky, aristocratic English history behind it.

Monday morning

Thanks to everyone who came to my and Sam Williams art sale last Friday and Saturday. It was a lovely two days, really enjoyable and busy. The painting below had the most positive is titled 'Rainy Afternoon'. maybe more people like rain than I thought!

Moving foward, I am working on this piece this morning, working title 'Rainy Summer Afternoon'. More layers required. Actually it is bright and beautiful at the moment, a light frost and blue skies.

Molygrove, Wales

After a visit to Wales the other weekend, I made this painting. We stayed in a beautiful house with a sea view, and tiny bay just a few moments walk away. Molygrove is a hamlet, the house we stayed just outside. The weather was alternatively wet and bright, gorgeous for the landscape fan!
This painting is 90x90cm
