I am working outside, and it's cold and quite definitely winter!

I have been working on several pieces in my two coats and woolly hat...firstly  The painting below, which is an ode to a rainy wintery day, just after it's finished raining, the sun has appeared, and colour is jewel like.

Rainy Blue Sky, Mauve Day

The two below are both works in progress, blue, blue, green and blue is the colour theme here in both pieces. I am enjoying the top painting, Winter Beach...have not yet made too many decisions about the bottom painting. Even the title is in flux! Currently working on How Winter Feels.

The story of a commission

 The story of a commission.

To find out a bit more about commissioning a painting , please follow this link to my website, it may be an idea for the future, and not something for this month! I am always very happy to offer a quote, some ideas and lots of photos of past paintings to look through.

I really enjoy taking on commissions, and thought you may like to see some process shots from a commission I took on last year through Singulart, one of the online platforms I sell through.

This 70x70cm canvas is based on a similar piece from my portfolio, which had sold. I received the brief and got to work!

The finished painting came with a note explaining how I created the painting, a certificate of authenticity and a set of postcards as a thank you. Don't forget, you can contact me for a commission, i would love to hear from you.

Happy New Year!

I hope that you are feeling good, and ready to enjoy a brand new decade.

I am planning to spend more time outside painting, and being as creative as possible. I live in a beautiful corner of Kent, and some road trips to interesting and lovely places, to paint and explore are on the agenda in the next month or so. I am going to start with Fairlight Cove

I also want to meet as many new people as possible this year, fellow artists, and art lovers. I love conversation about art...and just about anything else too :)

A big thank you to my last client of 2019, Fields Of Flowers went to a local family as a Christmas gift.

December flurry

What an amazing December! A huge thank you to everyone who has thought of one of my paintings this holiday season.

I want to thank the Serena Hall Gallery, Artfinder, Art Sleuth and Singulart, as well as visitors to my website. I am extremely grateful, you support means the world!
