Thank you Saatchi Art, Singulart and Artfinder
Sunny windy day, and I am outside painting, it's glorious.... :) i just love spring bluster and have a hundred and one ideas running through my head. These moods are rare so I am making the most of it by painting, writing and making notes for the weeks ahead.
Riverbank
I have just started a new series I am calling Riverscapes, partly inspired by my lovely husband's love of fishing, he speaks of dark water, streams, light and shadows (and catching fish...I zone out at that bit!). Dark and light have always played a big part in my compositions, alongside empty and busy areas on the canvas. See above for a couple of works in progress.
Thank you to Saatchi Art, Singulart and Artfinder, for selling these three over the past few days :) Very happy to sell my work with these great galleries.

March days
Happy March, although it's raining and rainy out of my window this morning.
I have been very lucky this past week, and been featured in Saatchi Art's twice yearly print catalogue. This has a very wide distribution, and it's such a boost to me to have this type of publicity. Thank you Saatchi Art :)
Two of my favourite paintings have sold this week too, and it's inspired me to do more and better work, pushing myself to try new things, and look at my work both critically and with a fresh slant.

I have been selected to the second round of the Delphian Gallery open call, this is a print competition, and I am really chuffed as there were more that 10,000 entries.... I am very pleased to have made it through the initial round. I hardly ever enter competitions, I am not quite sure why, and this year I have decided to enter quite a few, and just see what happens!
Reflections On Winter, below, is one of the pieces I submitted.
