Taking more photos

I am experimenting with taking many more photos in my studio...here are a couple of my 'Clouds Sky Beach' canvas. I am (hopefully) learning to take better photos.

Sketches on canvas

I have a myriad of sketches on canvas and paper in my studio, things I use to make bigger paintings or to trigger ideas. I love these sources and often work on them to make artwork for my portfolio.
Her are  a couple of these, 40x40cm, I have been looking and working on both of these for a few months now, the colours on both of them inspire me, and I have used of iridescent colour in the top painting 'Clouds Sky Beach'.

December commission

Just completed....this painting is inspired from my 30x30 canvas Small Painting. This one is 45x110cm...different in both size and dimension.

So very pleased to have sold this 60x60cm painting.

I happen to love pinks, oranges, and greens, and using them in an abstract way and have tried and create something uplifting and fun in the wintery months.

A commission in pictures...and a few words

Commissioned paintings are a significant part of my output, and I always really enjoy chatting with clients, trawling through my portfolio together, discussing themes, colours and ideas in order to have a blueprint for a successful painting. this can be done via email, phone or sometimes in person.

I have just completed this painting of bluebells and trees. My client will have it framed when it arrives and a place is reserved for this piece on the walls of their home. They have titled it themselves, and will receive a set of six postcards as well as a certificate of authenticity alongside the painting.

Spring Dream

Whilst I'm photographing...just about finished this 90x120cm canvas...I've titled it Spring Dream, as the weather here in Kent could not be a) drearier b) chillier c) more guaranteed to make me reach for a bar of chocolate.....
