My latest commissioned painting

I have been playing around with this large painting. it is 70x210cm. I think I have all but completed it now, a decent photo follows...it's a hard shape to photograph!

My very bad habit.....

I cannot resist re-working canvasses! I need to hide finished work away, it's just too tempting. I have added to my Autumn Light canvas......I prefer the new. It's bit more cohesive.

Well, it is outdoors actually. My latest commissioned painting (210x70cm), nearly completed and a corner of a 100x100cm canvas with just one layer of paint on... a long way to go!

This morning...

 I have been refining my palette with this painting, trying to use fewer colours and more white/pale shades.

This is a commissioned painting, which will fit above a bureau in a beautiful, modern interior. I am busy building up layers of colours and texture at the moment. It is pretty large at 70x210cm.

Early Autumn Morning

This is 60x60cm, one of my favourite sizes and formats. I have bought several yellow toned and oxide paints, which I am so enjoying. They are mainly transparent, and layers of glazing and building up intensity in colour is something I find fascinating. i use Golden acrylic paints...take a look at their site . I'm a kid in a sweetshop there!
