Winter Sea
I am entering a drawing competition with KO-AX, which is connected to the Mascalls Gallery in Paddock Wood Kent. This is a state funded gallery which has wonderful exhibitions. I have recently seen work by several 20th century giants including Marc Chagall and Christopher Wood. We are pretty lucky to have this lovely gallery so handy! They have invited Kent based artists to enter - so here I am! Here is one of the pieces I have just finished or it.
Winter Sea.
57x75cm
Gesso, ink, acrylic paint, charcoal, compressed charcoal, and graphite on watercolour paper.

Coastal 2, work in progress
This is 60x90cm, acrylic on linen. I don't often work with a portrait canvas, so this is rather interesting for me, I have been looking at lots of photography to try and broaden my compostional horizons, also to distill my palette, and limit the colours i allow myself (that is quite a challenge for me!)
