Art Acumen

I have sold some artwork through Art Acumen, very exciting to know three of my paintings will hang together in a corporate enviroment. I am hoping to have some images to post next Monday.

This painting has been features twice....here and here. I have really enjoyed making a landscape out of the shapes and feel at the start of this painting.

Memories of winter coastpaths

At the end of last year I completed this painting, which has triggered an idea for a series of paintings using the beautiful colours of winter, rain, sun, the sea and light. I have made a start with two small pieces here.

I quite often have paintings in my studio for weeks or months, and during that time they change drastically, and sometimes get used as a kind of notebook. This painting is the same size as 'Blue and Green' , see below (which I have just sold through the Saatchi online gallery) and started at the same time.....

A mornings activity

There's a hole in my painting!

Well, two holes actually. Can you see them in the sky? My poor painting had an accident (it was me really, not my painting all by itself). It fell onto a pot of palette knives...aaaaagh!!

Total re-think.....it's quite liberating!!

This had been in my portfolio, I always have a lot of unfinished pieces tantalising me .....I took it out and started to work on it, see here. I had a complete re-think and got my gesso pot out, and decided to think about the memory aspect of making the painting in the first place. It's definitely still unfinished, but moving foward.

Memories of September

I am working on a few pieces at the moment, including this orchard view. Kent is full of fruit orchards, and September is a lovely month, leaves, warmth, fruit, colour...sigh...it seems a long time ago!
